Salhiens lake

A stone's throw from the Deroc waterfall, the end point of the Lakes Route.

Salhiens lake

The dark and mysterious Lake Salhiens is the last one you will encounter on your way. Its outlet forms a stream that rushes a few hundred meters further from the top of a cliff, forming the Déroc waterfall, the route’s highlight.

A 3-kilometre trail from the Déroc waterfall car park will take you to the lakeside. You can admire the breathtaking scenery and remarkable flora and fauna: the lake is surrounded by wet meadows of great ecological interest and home to a large number of animal and plant species.
